Most boiler company owners think about selling the same way they think about a cracked heat exchanger: not until it's urgent. By then, the things that shape a buyer's view (who owns the website, how many maintenance customers renew, whether the phone still rings when the owner goes on holiday) take years to fix, not weeks. Boilers.Business works on those things early, so that when you do sit across from a buyer, a partner or a lender, the business can speak for itself.
Why a boiler company is harder to hand over than it looks
A boiler company's value often lives in places that don't transfer on their own: the owner's personal cell number, a Google Business Profile created under a family member's account, a decade of loyal hydronic customers who only trust one person.
Buyers know this. When they look at a heating business, they are trying to answer one question: will the revenue still be here once the current owner is gone? Everything we do is aimed at making the honest answer to that question "yes, and here is the evidence."
Three patterns come up again and again in boiler companies:
- The owner is the marketing. Customers call Dave, not the company. Reviews mention Dave by name. When Dave leaves, so does the reason people called.
- The assets are scattered. The domain sits with a former web designer, the ad account is billed to a personal credit card, and the call-tracking numbers belong to an agency that was fired in 2021.
- The numbers are anecdotal. The owner knows the business is busy every October, but can't show which channels brought in which installs, or how many service customers came back the following year.
None of these is fatal. All of them cost you bargaining power at the table, and each one is fixable with time.
What we work on
We are a marketing and business consulting service for boiler companies. We don't install, repair or service equipment, and we never compete with you for a job. Our work sits in five areas:
- An exit readiness review that looks at your company through a buyer's questions.
- Transferable marketing assets: moving every account, domain and number into the company's name.
- Recurring revenue programs that grow and document your annual maintenance base.
- An owner-independent brand, so the reputation belongs to the business.
- Buyer-ready marketing data: clean reports on leads, sources and customer history.
The services overview explains how to choose a starting point if you can only fund one or two of these this year.
Where Sedighi.ca comes in
When the conversation turns to a real transaction (finding buyers, structuring a deal, succession inside the family), we hand over to Sedighi.ca, the group's growth and consulting company, which handles exit and M&A advisory.
We stay on the marketing and operating side throughout, and nobody in the group gives securities, legal, tax or real-estate advice. You will need your own lawyer and accountant for those parts, and we will tell you plainly when a question belongs with them.
A worked example you can run on your own numbers
Picture a boiler company with 600 customers on annual maintenance plans. Last year 480 of them renewed. That is an 80% renewal rate, and it is one of the first figures a buyer will want to see, with the customer list behind it.
Now suppose 70% of new installs came from customers who were already on a plan or were referred by one. That tells a buyer the maintenance base isn't just revenue; it is the company's main source of new work. Losing it in a hand-over would hurt twice.
If you can't produce those two numbers from your own records today, that is the first thing to fix. Our guide to what buyers look at in a boiler business walks through the rest of the list.
Proof from our HVAC work
We'd rather show our work than describe it. GasBoilers.ca is a gas-boiler division built for CANRO Heat, serving 26+ BC communities with a 5.0★ rating from 76+ Google reviews: a clear example of a boiler line of business given its own brand and assets. CombiBoiler.ca reached 300% ROI and 300+ monthly leads. More on what these results do and don't show is on the results page.
Across Canada
We work with boiler companies in all 10 provinces and 3 territories. Buyers, fuel mix, licensing and programs differ a great deal between, say, Saskatchewan's gas-heated prairie towns and Quebec's largely electric market, and each of our regional pages covers what that means for a company preparing to scale or sell there.
When you're ready, start with the contact page or look at pricing first. Either way, you will speak with a senior strategist, not a sales team.

Preparing a boiler company to scale or sell, province by province
Frequently asked questions
What is Boilers.Business?
Boilers.Business is a Canadian digital marketing and business consulting service for boiler companies that want to scale or prepare for a sale. The business belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, runs from its Vancouver, British Columbia headquarters, and is led by Ali Sedighi, MBA, who works with owners directly.
Do you install or service boilers?
No. We are not a contractor and we never touch a heating system. We work on the business side: marketing, customer programs, brand and the records that show what the company is really worth to someone else.
Can you tell me what my boiler company is worth?
No. We don't publish valuation multiples or estimate sale prices. We show you which parts of your business a buyer will examine and help you strengthen them. Formal valuation and transaction work go through Sedighi.ca and the licensed professionals you appoint.
Is this legal, tax or securities advice?
No. Share structures, contracts, tax planning and real property belong with your lawyer, accountant and other licensed advisers. We prepare the marketing and operating side so those advisers have cleaner material to work with.
What if I'm not planning to sell?
Most of the work still pays off. A company that runs without the owner answering every call, owns its own marketing accounts and can show where its customers come from is easier to grow, easier to finance and easier to step back from.
How much does it cost?
Our HVAC.Agency-family marketing plans begin at $2,998 a month and websites at $3,500, with GST/HST added by province (GST and QST in Quebec). You can try us for seven days free, without a credit card, and nothing locks you in. Sale advisory through Sedighi.ca is scoped and quoted separately.
